What is inventory management for online sellers?
Inventory management is keeping one accurate count of what you have, where it is, and what's already promised to customers. For a UAE seller taking orders in Instagram DMs, on WhatsApp, on a website and at a shop counter, the hard part is that each channel sells from the same shelf. Inventory questions
Does stock update when the AI takes an order in WhatsApp or Instagram?
Yes. An order the AI takes in a chat goes through the same order process as your store and team, so its items are held from stock as soon as the order is placed and taken off when it ships.
Can the AI sell something that's out of stock?
Not by accident. The AI checks what's free to sell before taking an order and tells the customer if only a few are left. It only takes orders beyond your stock for products you've set to keep selling when out of stock, or open for pre-order.
Can I keep stock for more than one branch?
Yes. Stock is kept per branch or warehouse, and you can transfer stock between them. Growth includes up to 3 branches and Scale up to 10. See multi-branch stock transfers.
Does Nodi track stock by size and colour?
Yes. Each variant of a product has its own stock count at each branch.
How do low-stock alerts work?
You set a stock-alert level for an item at a branch. When stock drops to that level or below, the item shows on the Low Stock list and in the low-stock and stockout alerts on your dashboard home.
Can Nodi sync stock with my WooCommerce or Shopify store?
WooCommerce, yes: Nodi imports products, customers and orders from your WooCommerce store and keeps new orders flowing in, but stock levels aren't synced with WooCommerce yet. Can I track expiry dates?
Yes, on plans that include batch tracking. You record batches with expiry dates, Nodi sells the earliest-expiring stock first, and it alerts you before batches expire.
